Ralf Rangnick has given his response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s inflammatory feedback about his interim tenure at Manchester United.

WHAT HAPPENED? The former United boss has provided his response to feedback made by Ronaldo in his sensational interview with Piers Morgan. The 37-year-old took intention on the present Austria supervisor’s skills and even went as far to say he’d ‘by no means heard’ of Rangnick, regardless of being an everyday in his beginning XI within the second half of the 2021-22 season.
WHAT THEY SAID: Rangnick was questioned about Ronaldo’s feedback in a press convention and he responded bluntly: “I am the workforce boss of Austria’s nationwide workforce, it’s not my job to guage that. (It’s) the job of Manchester United and the sports activities journalists.”
THE BIGGER PICTURE: Rangnick was chosen to switch Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as non permanent United boss after the Norwegian was sacked in November 2021. His time at Outdated Trafford was unsuccessful as he didn’t steer the Pink Devils to a top-four end. Rangnick was initially slated to stay in Manchester as a guide to the membership however ended up leaving for Austria shortly after Erik ten Hag’s appointment in Might.

WHAT NEXT FOR RANGNICK? With Austria failing to qualify for the World Cup finals for the sixth consecutive time, Rangnick’s attentions should flip to serving to them safe a spot within the subsequent main event finals; the 2024 European Championships in Germany. Austria’s subsequent aggressive sport is not till subsequent March once they tackle Azerbaijan within the opening qualification sport for the Euros.
