AC Milan Midfielder Bennacer Set for Marseille Loan Move

Algerian international midfielder Ismaël Bennacer is reportedly on his way to join Olympique de Marseille on loan from AC Milan. The 27-year-old is expected to arrive in Marseille on Tuesday to finalize the deal.

According to sources, Marseille will pay an initial €1 million loan fee for Bennacer, with an option to make the transfer permanent for an additional €12 million plus potential bonuses of €3 million. This move comes after Bennacer’s limited playing time this season due to a calf injury that has restricted him to just eight appearances across all competitions.

Marseille had previously shown interest in Bennacer, and the player was keen on a move to the Stade Vélodrome. The transfer was facilitated in part by AC Milan’s acquisition of young midfielder Warren Bondo from AC Monza, which opened up space in their squad.

If the deal goes through as expected, it will provide Bennacer with an opportunity for more regular playing time as he looks to regain form after his injury setback. For Marseille, the signing represents a chance to bolster their midfield options with an experienced international player.
