AC Milan Players and Coach Discuss End-of-Season Aspirations
In a post-match interview following AC Milan’s 2-0 victory over Venezia, midfielder Youssouf Fofana expressed his determination to end the season on a high note. He emphasized the team’s unique position to potentially secure two trophies, stating, “We want to win all remaining matches, including the Coppa Italia final. No other Italian team can achieve two trophies this season, so we’re focused on finishing strong for our supporters and the club.”
However, AC Milan coach Sergio Conceicao offered a different perspective on the team’s priorities. He disagreed with Fofana’s assessment, asserting, “At Milan, finishing in the top four is paramount. Our objectives are clear, though we’ve faced challenges this year. There’s still a trophy to compete for, and Milan thrives on such achievements. It’s crucial to present a different image than what we’ve shown in recent months.”
Conceicao also touched on the team’s tactical evolution, noting, “We’re finding the balance we’ve been seeking, which is essential from a technical standpoint. While I’m not typically a proponent of our current formation, I’ve had to adapt to the Italian league, our squad, and the players’ characteristics.”
