AC Milan are preparing to make a new offer to Strasbourg for their promising right-back Guéla Doué. The bid is expected to fall short of Strasbourg`s €30 million valuation, likely coming in just under €25 million including bonuses.
The 22-year-old Ivorian defender has emerged as Milan coach Max Allegri`s preferred target, taking precedence over other options like Marc Pubill. Milan have already had two previous bids rejected, reportedly worth €15 million and €20 million plus add-ons.
Milan Determined to Land Doué
Despite the gap between Milan`s valuation and Strasbourg`s asking price, the Italian giants remain committed to securing Doué`s signature. This approach aligns with Milan`s transfer strategy this summer, as they look to strengthen their squad while maintaining financial prudence.
Doué`s value has increased dramatically since joining Strasbourg from Stade Rennes last summer for just €6 million. His impressive performances last season, which included one goal and two assists in 34 appearances across all competitions, have caught the eye of several top clubs.
As negotiations continue, it remains to be seen whether Milan can reach an agreement with Strasbourg or if they will need to look elsewhere to bolster their defensive options for the upcoming season.
