AC Milan’s Furlani to Hold Talks with Paratici for Sporting Director Position

AC Milan’s Furlani to Hold Talks with Paratici for Sporting Director Position

According to reports from Corriere della Sera, AC Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani is scheduled to meet with Fabio Paratici, a candidate for the club’s sporting director role, within the next day or two.

Paratici, who previously held executive positions at Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur, is among five contenders being considered for Milan’s sporting director position starting in the 2025-26 season.

Recent speculation suggests that Paratici is the frontrunner for the role, though former Lazio director and striker Igli Tare remains a strong competitor.

Il Corriere della Sera reports that Furlani will discuss the potential appointment with Paratici in the coming days. Despite Paratici’s current ban until June, he could potentially begin working as an external advisor to the club.

La Gazzetta dello Sport has also mentioned three other candidates for the position: Kim Falkenberg from Bayer Leverkusen, Thiago Scuro of AS Monaco, and Markus Krösche from Eintracht Frankfurt. However, these three lack experience in Italian football, unlike Paratici and Tare.

During his tenure at Juventus, Paratici was instrumental in the club’s success, contributing to nine Serie A titles first as sporting director and later as Chief Football Officer.
