AC Milan staged a remarkable second-half turnaround to defeat Bologna 3-1 in Serie A. After falling behind to Riccardo Orsolini`s opener, the Rossoneri rallied with goals from Santiago Gimenez and Christian Pulisic to claim all three points.
Bologna struck first in the 49th minute when Orsolini curled a left-footed shot into the bottom corner. However, Milan equalized in the 73rd minute as Gimenez slotted home from Pulisic`s assist.
The hosts then took the lead in the 79th minute through Pulisic, before Gimenez sealed the victory with his second goal in stoppage time. Samuel Chukwueze provided the assist for the final goal to cap off an impressive comeback win for Milan.
The result keeps Milan in contention near the top of the Serie A table, while dealing a blow to Bologna`s European aspirations. It also provides a confidence boost for the Rossoneri ahead of their upcoming Coppa Italia final clash against Bologna later this month.
