Enzo Raiola, the agent of Gianluigi Donnarumma, has suggested that a return to AC Milan for the Italian goalkeeper is not out of the question. This comes amidst speculation about Donnarumma`s future at Paris Saint-Germain as his contract nears its end.
Raiola addressed rumors sparked by his recent visit to Inter Milan`s headquarters, clarifying that the meeting was unrelated to Donnarumma. However, he did not dismiss the possibility of interest from top Italian clubs in the future.
“While there haven`t been any negotiations yet, we can`t rule out future interest from leading Italian teams,” Raiola stated. He emphasized that Donnarumma`s youth means there`s still a long career ahead, with at least another decade at the top level.
Raiola acknowledged the current challenges in Italian football, noting that apart from Inter Milan`s recent Champions League success, clubs like AC Milan and Juventus are in transition phases. He stressed the importance of a strong sporting project in addition to financial considerations.
Interestingly, Raiola drew parallels with Paul Pogba`s career moves, stating, “We facilitated Pogba`s transfer from Manchester United to Juventus and back again. Nothing is impossible in football, including a Donnarumma return to Milan.”
He added that despite AC Milan`s current struggles, Donnarumma maintains deep respect and gratitude for the club that nurtured his talent from a young age.
With Donnarumma`s PSG contract set to expire in June 2026, speculation about a potential Serie A comeback has intensified, with Juventus, Inter Milan, and Napoli all linked to the goalkeeper.
