AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri expressed his admiration for the club`s new signings following their 1-1 draw against Leeds United in a pre-season friendly match in Dublin. Allegri was particularly impressed with Ardon Jashari and Luka Modric, describing the latter as “extraordinary”.
Jashari, who recently joined Milan from Club Brugge for a record €37 million fee, made his debut for the Italian club against Leeds. The Swiss international played alongside Yunus Musah and 17-year-old Emanuele Sala in midfield. Modric, who had been given extra time off during the summer, was an unused substitute.
Allegri praised the intelligence and humility of his new players, stating: “They`re great players with a bit of intelligence and humility. To stay at high levels, you have to be smart.” He went on to describe Modric as “an extraordinary player” and expressed amazement at Jashari`s performance, considering the limited training he had with the team.
The Milan coach also emphasized the need for continued improvement, saying: “There is work to do and things to improve, to enhance physical conditions and mental conviction. We can`t get too excited; it must be the norm for Milan to win games.”
As Milan continues its pre-season preparations, fans and observers alike will be eagerly watching how these new signings integrate into the team and contribute to the club`s ambitions for the upcoming season.
