Amine Harit’s Future at Marseille Uncertain as Winter Transfer Window Approaches

Amine Harit, the 27-year-old midfielder, finds himself in a precarious position at Olympique de Marseille. Despite being one of the more experienced players in a squad that has undergone significant changes, Harit’s status at the club has become increasingly uncertain.

During the summer transfer window, Marseille reportedly offered Harit a move to Genoa, which he declined. This decision initially seemed to benefit both parties, as Harit started strongly under new manager Roberto De Zerbi’s system, featuring in eight of the first nine matches and contributing to five goals.

However, Harit’s fortunes changed dramatically following his early dismissal in the high-profile match against Paris Saint-Germain on October 27th. Since then, he has not made a single appearance for the team. Although a calf injury sidelined him in November, Harit has struggled to regain his place in the squad, even with De Zerbi’s shift to a 3-4-2-1 formation utilizing two attacking midfielders.

Currently, Harit finds himself behind Adrien Rabiot and Mason Greenwood in the team’s hierarchy. Marseille’s lack of European commitments has further reduced opportunities for rotation, limiting Harit’s chances to reclaim his position.

Reports suggest that Marseille is looking to streamline their budget through player sales. The club would reportedly consider offers in the seven-figure range for Harit during the winter transfer window. While Harit is not actively seeking a move, sources indicate he would be open to considering any offers that may arise.

As the winter transfer window approaches, Harit’s future at Marseille remains uncertain, with potential opportunities for a move away from the club on the horizon.
