Carlo Ancelotti has expressed his positive assessment of Nico Paz’s performance in Serie A with Como, stating that the young player is doing “very, very well.” However, Ancelotti remained tight-lipped regarding Real Madrid’s intentions to activate their buy-back clause for the 20-year-old, who has reportedly attracted interest from clubs like Inter Milan.
Nico Paz’s impressive first season at Como has caught the attention of several top European clubs, with Inter Milan particularly keen on securing the Argentine talent to bolster their squad.

Speaking on the Poretcast podcast, Ancelotti commented on Paz, who previously played for Real Madrid, acknowledging his positive progress at Como.
Paz made a move to newly-promoted Como in the summer transfer window for approximately €6 million. As part of the deal, Real Madrid retained a 50% sell-on clause and buy-back options that can be exercised in the upcoming summer transfer windows.
Real Madrid has the option to repurchase Paz for €8 million in the next summer transfer window (2025), €9 million in the summer of 2026, and €10 million in the summer of 2027.
Even if Real Madrid does not immediately integrate Paz into their first team, they could still choose to buy him back to potentially sell him for a higher transfer fee later. This scenario could be advantageous for Inter Milan and their coach Simone Inzaghi, who are reportedly interested in the player.
