Angel Correa Receives Five-Match Ban for Insulting Referee

Atletico forward Angel Correa has been suspended for five matches for insulting a referee in the La Liga matchday 27 game against Getafe, which Atletico lost 1-2. This was reported by COPE on social media.

Argentine forward was sent off in the 87th minute. Upon being sent off, he insulted the referee, which was recorded in the match report.

Atletico is currently third in La Liga, one point behind league leaders Barcelona. In the next matchday, Atletico will play against Barcelona.

This season, 30-year-old Correa has played 38 matches, scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists.
