Liverpool manager Arne Slot called the Champions League game against PSG “the best game of football” he has ever experienced, even though Liverpool were defeated by PSG in a penalty shootout. Speaking to Amazon Prime Video, Slot said his team delivered an “incredible performance” compared to their first leg match. He feels Liverpool’s luck ran out after the previous week, when they relied on an outstanding goalkeeping performance from Alisson.
Slot commented, “We played almost perfectly, except for scoring. It was similar to the game in Paris last week, where they also played almost perfectly.” He thought PSG played better in extra time, and he was disappointed that Liverpool couldn’t secure a draw, which would have allowed them to advance in the Champions League. “Right now, everyone should be disappointed. But I know these players – they are strong. This game had everything you could want.”
