Arsenal Consider Bid for Juventus Striker Dusan Vlahovic
Arsenal are reportedly considering making an offer for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in the final days of the January transfer window. This comes after the Gunners failed in their attempts to sign Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins.
Manager Mikel Arteta has made it clear Arsenal are looking to bring in attacking reinforcements before the window closes on February 3rd. The club had a £60 million bid for Watkins rejected by Villa earlier this week.
With Villa unlikely to sell Watkins after already losing Jhon Duran to Al-Nassr, Arsenal have turned their attention to alternative targets. Serbian international Vlahovic has emerged as a serious option.
The 23-year-old Vlahovic joined Juventus from Fiorentina in January 2022 for €80 million. He has scored 12 goals in all competitions so far this season. Vlahovic’s current contract runs until 2026, putting Juventus in a strong negotiating position.
According to reports, Arsenal are considering submitting an offer for Vlahovic this weekend. The striker is said to be open to a move to England, which could boost Arsenal’s chances.
However, any deal would be complicated given the lack of time for Juventus to find a replacement. The Italian giants only recently signed Randal Kolo Muani on loan and may be reluctant to lose Vlahovic at this late stage.
If Arsenal can convince Juventus to sell, Vlahovic would provide a significant boost to their attack. The powerful striker has been praised for his physicality, courage and goalscoring ability.
With Arsenal still in the Premier League title race, bringing in a prolific forward like Vlahovic could prove crucial for their chances in the second half of the season. The next 48 hours will be decisive as Arsenal look to complete a major signing before the deadline.
