Arsenal Eye £70m Dortmund Star as Potential Saka Alternative

Despite falling short in the Premier League title race this season, Arsenal have made significant strides in Europe. After being eliminated by Bayern Munich last year, the Gunners have now reached the Champions League semi-finals where they will face PSG.

Their impressive European run, including a victory over Real Madrid, has raised Arsenal’s profile on the global stage. This increased stature could help attract top talent to play alongside standout performer Bukayo Saka.

While Saka has been in excellent form on the right wing, Arsenal are reportedly looking to strengthen their options on the left flank. According to journalist Graeme Bailey, the Gunners are interested in Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.

The 20-year-old Englishman has been dubbed “England’s best winger” this season by some analysts. He has scored 12 goals and provided 5 assists across all competitions for Dortmund.

Bynoe-Gittens shares some similar attributes to Saka, particularly his dribbling ability and direct style of play. While not quite as creative as Saka yet, he actually averages more progressive carries and successful take-ons per 90 minutes.

Arsenal are said to be willing to pay around £70 million for Bynoe-Gittens, viewing him as a potential alternative to Saka on the opposite wing. His unpredictability in one-on-one situations and ability to use both feet effectively could add another dynamic threat to Arsenal’s attack.

While still developing, Bynoe-Gittens represents an exciting English talent that could form a potent partnership with Saka in Arsenal’s front three for years to come. His signing would be a statement of intent as the Gunners look to build on their European success.
