AS Roma Player Ratings: Svilar Shines, Shomurodov Delivers as Super Sub

AS Roma salvaged a draw against Juventus in a tightly contested Serie A match. Shomurodov once again proved decisive off the bench, while Svilar made crucial saves to deny Vlahovic. Angeliño showed signs of fatigue compared to his recent performances.

Player Ratings:

Svilar (7/10): Made an excellent early save against Thuram and later produced a magnificent stop to deny Vlahovic. Blameless for Locatelli’s goal.

Mancini (6.5/10): The usual warrior. Wore the captain’s armband in Pellegrini’s absence and delivered a solid defensive performance without errors.

Hummels (6/10): Despite announcing his retirement, Ranieri trusted him for this big match. Made a crucial block on Vlahovic early on but was substituted at halftime.

Shomurodov (7/10): Came on as a substitute and scored. Remarkably, it’s his fifth goal in six appearances from the bench.

Ndicka (6/10): Momentarily lost Vlahovic for a header, but Svilar saved the day. Nearly scored himself but was denied by Di Gregorio. Improved in the second half.

Celik (6/10): Returned to the starting lineup after a month, initially struggling in an unfamiliar role but improved after a tactical shift. Subbed off due to injury.

Cristante (5.5/10): Missed a golden opportunity to score early on. Struggled to replicate his recent form from the Lecce match.

Koné (6.5/10): Overcame a shaky start to dominate midfield battles. Showed positive signs despite tiring towards the end.

Angeliño (5.5/10): Displayed signs of fatigue, with less attacking impetus and defensive struggles.

El Shaarawy (5.5/10): Started slowly but grew into the game, hitting the post with a header. Faded in the second half.

Soulé (6/10): Eager to impress against his former club. Provided the cross for El Shaarawy’s chance and worked hard defensively. His free-kick led to the equalizer.

Dovbyk (6/10): Battled hard in a difficult match, holding up play well despite limited opportunities.

Manager – Ranieri (6/10): Roma gifted Juventus the first half, but Ranieri’s substitutions turned the tide. The team extended their unbeaten run to 15 games but slipped to seventh in the table.
