This week, La Liga increased Barcelona’s salary cap by €81 million, fostering hopes for more flexible spending this summer. Nevertheless, Sporting Director Deco consistently focuses on utilizing available resources to retain the club’s current players.
This season alone, Jules Kounde, Fermin Lopez, and Eric Garcia have signed new contracts, while several other key players extended their agreements last season. The main concerns this summer revolve around Robert Lewandowski and Andreas Christensen, whose contracts are expiring. The Catalan club has also not yet initiated extension talks with Ferran Torres, who has only 15 months remaining on his deal.
Barcelona Offers Andreas Christensen a New Contract

As early as January, it was reported that Barcelona had decided to offer the Danish defender a new deal, and on Wednesday morning, Deco communicated the terms of a one-year contract for the next season that the club is offering.
