Bayern Munich is intensifying efforts to persuade AC Milan to part ways with Rafael Leao. Reports suggest they are preparing a substantial offer of €75 million in cash, along with either Leon Goretzka or Kingsley Coman as part of the deal.
Recent rumors have indicated that the Bundesliga champions have set their sights firmly on the Portuguese forward. Now, according to Footmercato, Bayern is refining their proposal in hopes of convincing Milan.
The proposed deal includes €75 million in cash plus a player exchange, with Milan having the option to choose between former Juventus striker Coman or midfielder Goretzka.
AC Milan Stands Firm on Rafael Leao
However, this offer is unlikely to sway AC Milan, considering Rafael Leao`s contract includes a substantial release clause of €175 million. His current deal runs until June 2028, and unlike some other players, Milan does not feel they are nearing the end of their association with Leao.
Newly appointed coach Max Allegri is an admirer of Leao and intends to keep him, possibly reinvigorating his performances with a new tactical approach.
While German media has reported that Rafael Leao specifically requested to leave Milan after the club failed to qualify for European competitions, Italian sources have found little evidence to support this claim.
