Benzema Encourages Pogba to Consider Saudi Arabian Move
Recent reports suggest that Karim Benzema, now 37, is attempting to persuade his former French national team colleague Paul Pogba, 32, to join him in Saudi Arabia’s football league.
Pogba, who recently had his doping suspension reduced from four years to 18 months, is now free to resume his professional football career. The 2018 World Cup champion is currently without a club after mutually agreeing to part ways with Juventus.
As a free agent, Pogba is weighing his options, with potential interest coming from Major League Soccer in the United States and clubs in Japan. There were rumors that Olympique de Marseille considered signing him, but they opted not to pursue a deal before the end of the current season.
Saudi Arabia presents a new possibility for Pogba, with Benzema’s club already home to several French players, including N’Golo Kanté and Moussa Diaby, under the management of fellow Frenchman Laurent Blanc.
Sources indicate that Pogba has not yet made a final decision regarding his future in football.
