The 25-year-old’s agent has dismissed speculation of disciplinary issues behind the exclusion, while Lazio has remained silent on the matter. This situation has left Pellegrini ineligible for both domestic and European competitions, potentially paving the way for a move before the Turkish transfer window closes.
