Bisseck: “I Believe There Aren’t Many Better Places Than Inter to Play Football”

In an interview with the German magazine Sport Bild, Inter defender Yann Bisseck discussed several topics:

Defensive Focus

“We train the defense a lot, the coach pays a lot of attention to it. The midfielders and forwards also know that they have to work defensively. This means that everyone is very proud to defend our goal. Conceding a goal is like an insult and we want to avoid it! A 1-0 victory is a wonderful result for us.”

Objectives

“We don’t hide it: we are a very strong team and we can face anyone. We have a lot of quality both in defense and in attack. We want to and can be there until the end. However, the level of performance among the top seven or eight teams in Europe is very similar at the moment.”

German National Team

“After the call-up, there was no more personal contact with the national team coach Nagelsmann. But I was really happy about it, it’s a great sign of respect towards me. I hope that he and his team see something in me: that I can help the national team with my strengths. My goal and aim for the future is to be an important option for the national team.”

Future at Inter

“If I wasn’t 100% convinced that I wanted to play here for a long time, I would not have extended my contract (until 2029, ed.). If you objectively look at the football landscape, I don’t think there are many better places to play football. Both in sports and in life here in Milan. Now I have reached a point where I really love spending my time here.”
