Bologna Coach Italiano Commends Players and Welcomes New Addition
Vincenzo Italiano, Bologna’s head coach, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s recent victory over Como. The win allowed Bologna to match Juventus’s 37 points, placing them fifth in the standings. Italiano addressed the team’s performance following their Champions League exertions:
“We needed to maintain the same intensity we showed in Lisbon. Our goal was to disrupt their ball possession and limit their opportunities. The players executed this strategy brilliantly in the first half. I’m proud of their efforts, especially considering we returned at 5 AM on Thursday without a chance to train. We prepared for this match using video analysis, emphasizing the importance of focus and attentiveness.”
Regarding the team’s connection with fans, Italiano stated, “I’m thrilled to see this packed stadium and passionate supporters. We must nurture this bond with our fans as it significantly impacts our performance.”
The coach also discussed the team’s progress: “I knew I was joining a dedicated group eager to improve. Maintaining our performance level is challenging, but we’ve grown after an inconsistent start. I’m delighted with our recent results and performances.”
Italiano then commented on new signing Davide Calabria: “He brings extensive experience from his time at Milan and shows great enthusiasm. I’m confident he’ll contribute his expertise and quality to our squad. We’re still looking to enhance our team further in the transfer market.”
