Bologna`s successful season, which included a Coppa Italia victory and Europa League qualification, may be followed by changes in their defensive lineup. Two key defenders, Sam Beukema and Stefan Posch, are reportedly looking to move on from the club.
Beukema Eyes Napoli Transfer
Sam Beukema is keen on a transfer to Napoli, with negotiations ongoing between the clubs. The defender`s father recently visited Bologna`s headquarters to formally request a transfer. However, there remains a gap between Bologna`s €30 million asking price and Napoli`s latest offer of around €25 million.
Posch Attracts Bundesliga Interest
Stefan Posch, currently on loan at Atalanta, is unlikely to be signed permanently by the Bergamo club. Instead, several Bundesliga teams have shown interest in the defender. With his contract set to expire in June 2026, Posch could be available at a relatively affordable price.
As Bologna prepares for European competition next season, the potential departures of Beukema and Posch could necessitate significant reinforcements in their defensive line.
