Bologna Edges Torino 3-2 in Thrilling Serie A Clash

In an exciting Serie A encounter on Friday night, Bologna emerged victorious with a 3-2 win over Torino, sealed by a late own goal from debutant Cristiano Biraghi.

Bologna manager Vincenzo Italiano welcomed back several key defenders to his starting lineup, including Sam Beukema. For Torino, Paolo Vanoli handed a first Serie A start to Italy U21 star Cesare Casadei, who joined permanently from Chelsea in January.

The home side thought they had earned an early penalty after 15 minutes, but VAR overturned the decision. Bologna did take the lead shortly after through Dan Ndoye, who finished from a tight angle following good work from Tommaso Pobega.

Torino equalized before halftime through Nikola Vlasic, who slotted home after an unfortunate touch from Emil Holm. The visitors then went ahead in the second half thanks to a brilliant individual goal from substitute Eljif Elmas.

Bologna were awarded a clear penalty with 20 minutes remaining when Casadei accidentally caught Pobega while attempting to clear. Ndoye stepped up to convert and level the scores at 2-2.

The dramatic winner came in the 90th minute, as Torino debutant Cristiano Biraghi inadvertently turned the ball into his own net while trying to clear a cross. This sealed a thrilling 3-2 victory for Bologna in an entertaining Serie A clash.
