Bologna FC: Ferguson Returns, Holm Sidelined with Injury
Bologna FC’s head coach Vincenzo Italiano has received both good and bad news regarding his squad. Scottish midfielder Lewis Ferguson has made a full recovery from his right thigh flexor injury and has rejoined the team for training. He is now available for selection in the upcoming Emilia-Romagna derby against Parma in Serie A’s 26th round.
However, the positive news of Ferguson’s return is overshadowed by a setback for Emil Holm. The Swedish player has been diagnosed with a first-degree injury to the medial flexors of his left thigh, which will keep him out of action for approximately three weeks.
The club released an official statement detailing the team’s preparation for the Parma match: “The squad continued their tactical work and played a practice match today. Lewis Ferguson has fully reintegrated with the group and participated in regular training with his teammates. Jens Odgaard underwent individualized training, while Estanis Pedrola received therapy. Emil Holm, who experienced discomfort in recent days, underwent examinations that revealed a first-degree lesion in the medial flexors of his left thigh, with an expected recovery time of 3 weeks.”
