Bologna has successfully concluded the transfer of Nadir Zortea from Cagliari in a deal valued at approximately €7.5 million. The 26-year-old versatile player is capable of operating on either flank, both in defensive and wing-back positions.
Zortea, a product of Atalanta`s youth system, gained valuable experience through loan spells at various clubs including Cremonese, Salernitana, Sassuolo, and Frosinone before his permanent move to Cagliari last summer for €5.1 million.
Zortea`s Potential Impact at Bologna
During his time in Sardinia, Zortea demonstrated his capabilities by contributing six goals and two assists in 35 Serie A appearances for Cagliari. This impressive performance caught Bologna`s attention, leading to his transfer.
The player underwent a medical examination this morning and subsequently signed his contract with Bologna. Despite interest from other clubs such as Valencia, Napoli, and Fiorentina, Bologna successfully secured Zortea`s services.
In addition to Zortea, Bologna has strengthened their squad with the acquisitions of Martin Vitik from Sparta Prague, Torbjorn Heggem from West Bromwich Albion, and free agents Ciro Immobile and Federico Bernardeschi.
