Bologna: Ndoye Returns to Training, Cambiaghi Also Making Progress

Bologna FC is gearing up for their upcoming match against Verona, which will conclude the 18th round of Serie A and mark the final game of 2024. The team received encouraging news from their training ground in Casteldebole, as Dan Ndoye has rejoined group training and is now aiming for a spot in the squad. Additionally, Nicolò Cambiaghi has returned to the field, albeit for individual training sessions.

Ndoye had missed the previous game against Torino due to an ankle injury sustained in the match against Fiorentina. His return to training suggests that coach Vincenzo Italiano may consider including him in the starting lineup against Verona. Meanwhile, Cambiaghi is taking his first steps towards recovery following a cruciate ligament rupture in late August. Four months into his rehabilitation process, there is hope that he may be able to return to action before the end of the current season.

The club released an official statement detailing the team’s training activities: “Preparation for the Verona match continues at Casteldebole. Today, Italiano’s squad engaged in athletic warm-ups, offensive drills, and small-sided games. Dan Ndoye trained with the group, while Oussama El Azzouzi, Michel Aebischer, and Nicolò Cambiaghi underwent individualized training. The team will train again tomorrow at 11 AM at the Niccolò Galli technical center.”
