Bologna’s Ferguson Returns to Training, Holm Sidelined with Injury

Bologna Football Club has announced positive news regarding midfielder Lewis Ferguson, who has rejoined group training sessions following a brief absence due to muscular issues. The Scottish international had missed the team’s last three league matches.

According to the club’s official statement, Ferguson participated fully in Wednesday’s tactical drills and practice match with his teammates. This development suggests he may be available for selection in upcoming fixtures.

However, the news was not all positive for Bologna. Swedish defender Emil Holm has been diagnosed with a grade-one strain in his left thigh after experiencing discomfort in recent days. Medical examinations revealed the extent of the injury, and Holm is expected to be sidelined for approximately three weeks while he recovers.

The club also provided updates on other squad members:
– Jens Odgaard conducted individual training
– Estanis Pedrola underwent treatment sessions

Ferguson’s return to fitness will be a welcome boost for Bologna, as the midfielder has been a key contributor this season. Since recovering from a knee ligament injury sustained last year, Ferguson has made seven Serie A appearances in the current campaign, finding the net once.

Bologna are preparing for their upcoming match against Parma on Saturday, with the team’s fitness status likely to play a crucial role in their tactical approach and lineup selection.
