Borussia Dortmund Parts Ways with Head Coach Nuri Sahin

Borussia Dortmund has made the decision to terminate the contract of head coach Nuri Sahin, according to recent reports. The Turkish manager was reportedly informed of his dismissal on January 21st, following the team’s defeat against Bologna in the 7th round of the UEFA Champions League group stage.

The decision comes after a series of disappointing results, with Dortmund suffering four consecutive losses. This poor run of form has left the team struggling in the Bundesliga, currently occupying the 10th position in the league table with 25 points.

Sahin took charge of Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2023, replacing Edin Terzic as the head coach. Prior to his appointment, Sahin had served as an assistant to Terzic. The club’s management has yet to announce a replacement for the departing coach.
