Bournemouth Joins Race to Sign Marseille Striker Elye Wahi

The competition for Marseille’s young forward Elye Wahi is intensifying, with Bournemouth now joining West Ham United and Eintracht Frankfurt in the pursuit. The 22-year-old French talent has caught the eye of several clubs, sparking a potential transfer battle.

Eintracht Frankfurt, facing the departure of their star striker Omar Marmoush to Manchester City, sees Wahi as an ideal replacement. The German club believes the Frenchman could thrive in the Bundesliga, following the successful path of other French forwards like Marcus Thuram and Randal Kolo Muani.

Reports suggest that all three interested clubs have made initial contact with Wahi’s representatives. West Ham has taken the lead by submitting a formal offer to Marseille, proposing a loan deal with a mandatory purchase option. Marseille is open to negotiations if Wahi expresses interest in a new challenge and if the offer approaches the €30 million they invested in him last summer.

Currently, Wahi finds himself on the fringes of Roberto De Zerbi’s squad at Marseille, with Neal Maupay preferred as the main striker. Despite limited opportunities, Wahi has managed to score three goals and provide one assist in 13 appearances for the French club.

As the transfer speculation heats up, all eyes will be on Wahi’s next move and which club will secure the promising striker’s signature.
