Flavio Briatore, a well-known businessman and Juventus supporter, shared his thoughts in a video posted on his Instagram profile:
“Good morning Juventus fans, I wanted to talk to you for a second. Juventus seems to be at an unprecedented low. A team that finished third with Allegri and won the Coppa Italia, and what does the management do? They get rid of the people who win. Allegri is gone, the 3 international players we had are gone. Szczesny went to Barcelona and Di Gregorio arrived in his place… with all due respect, but Szczesny is on another level. What’s the point? Danilo, who was a flag bearer for us, was treated badly. And then there’s Cuadrado… it was ugly to hear him being booed. But what was he supposed to do? It’s his job and he went to play elsewhere. Atalanta was smart to take him and we, instead, were fools to let him go… How can these things happen in football?
Then we went to Naples to get Giuntoli, but at that point we should have taken De Laurentiis as well. Then we have Calvo who forms a hellish duo with Giuntoli. They have thrown everything away only to end up with overpaid players, very high salaries, and all the good young players have been sold. The only thing Motta has in common with Mourinho is the language, otherwise Bologna is doing very well even without him. We now have lifelong contracts with Giuntoli and Motta, but with this group we are going nowhere. It’s no wonder the fans are angry, there’s no strategy or owner. Allegri was the owner who held the team together even in difficult times. So get a move on, I would send everyone away and rebuild with Allegri who is a lion compared to these kittens.”
