While it was acknowledged that any deal for the Portugal international would be complex, he remained high on their recruitment shortlist until now.

“Leaving PSG would be unwise and not in my best interest,” Vitinha declared in an interview with Canal 11, as reported by Diario AS. “I’m incredibly happy here! I feel a strong sense of appreciation from the club and fans, which I believe I’ve earned. My family and I love living here, the team camaraderie is excellent, and the coach is outstanding.”

Vitinha's firm rejection effectively concludes Real Madrid's pursuit, as a player's willingness to move is often the first and most critical step. With the Portuguese midfielder no longer an option, Real Madrid is now reportedly exploring other alternatives. Kees Smit's valuation is a point of contention for the Bernabeu club, while interest in Adam Wharton appears to have diminished.
