Burnley’s Massengo Likely to Rejoin Auxerre on Loan

Reports suggest that 23-year-old midfielder Han-Noah Massengo is set to make a loan move back to AJ Auxerre for the rest of the current season. Massengo, who began his career at AS Monaco, previously spent half a season on loan at Auxerre in 2022/23.

Despite impressing during his short stint, Massengo was unable to help Auxerre avoid relegation. He subsequently transferred to Burnley but has struggled to secure regular playing time, managing only 93 minutes on the pitch this season despite the club’s relegation to the Championship.

Auxerre, now performing well in Ligue 1, are keen to bolster their midfield as they unexpectedly challenge for European qualification. Massengo’s return could provide valuable reinforcement, especially with the potential departure of Rayan Ravloson from the squad.

This move offers Massengo an opportunity to revitalize his career and contribute to Auxerre’s ambitious campaign in the French top flight.
