Carlo Ancelotti Remains Tight-Lipped on Barcelona’s Player Registrations
Following Real Madrid’s 3-0 victory over Mallorca in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final, head coach Carlo Ancelotti refrained from commenting on Barcelona’s recent player registrations. The Catalan club has added Dani Olmo and Pau Victor to their squad list, making them eligible for the upcoming final against Real Madrid.
When asked about the situation, Ancelotti stated, “I prefer not to comment on this matter. While I certainly have an opinion, I’d rather keep it to myself.”
Barcelona’s attempt to register players for the second half of the season was initially rejected by La Liga and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). However, the club appealed to the Higher Sports Council (CSD), which granted them temporary permission to register the players pending a final decision on the case.
The Spanish Super Cup final between Real Madrid and Barcelona is scheduled for Sunday, January 12, with kick-off set for 7:00 PM GMT.
