Casadei Opens Up About Chelsea Exit and Torino Transfer

Italian midfielder Cesare Casadei has revealed the reasons behind his departure from Chelsea and subsequent move to Torino in the January transfer window. The 21-year-old expressed excitement about returning to Italy and joining Torino after struggling to break into Chelsea’s first team.

“I’m thrilled to be back in Italy and playing for Torino,” Casadei stated. “I had been trying to return for a couple of seasons already, but it didn’t work out until now. My time in England was valuable, but I felt it was the right moment to test myself in Serie A.”

Casadei explained that Torino’s strong interest was a key factor in his decision: “From day one, Torino showed tremendous faith in me. President Cairo made a significant commitment to bring me here, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. I’m confident Torino is the perfect fit for me at this stage of my career.”

Regarding his struggles at Chelsea, Casadei commented: “I needed to join a club where I felt important and valued. At Chelsea, I wasn’t getting much playing time, so I needed to regain confidence. Torino’s trust in me was a huge honor.”

The young midfielder also touched on his personal goals off the pitch: “I’m a low-key person who lives a simple life. Football represents over 80% of my life, but I’m also interested in education. I put my studies on hold after high school, but I’d like to enroll in university someday.”

Casadei’s move to Torino marks an exciting new chapter in his career as he aims to establish himself in Serie A and continue his development as a player.
