Chelsea Legend: £62m “World-Class” Striker Eager to Join Blues

Chelsea Legend: £62m “World-Class” Striker Eager to Join Blues

According to a former Chelsea star, a highly-rated striker valued at £62 million is very interested in moving to Stamford Bridge, and completing the transfer should not be too difficult.

Chelsea Targeting Several Top Forwards for Summer Transfer Window

The London club is among several Premier League teams looking to acquire a top-tier striker during the upcoming transfer window. They have begun identifying key targets, including some ambitious possibilities.

While there have been rumors of a potential £151m move for Real Madrid’s Endrick and Rodrygo, the Spanish club is not inclined to sell. Other targets include Jonathan David, Marcus Thuram, Alexander Isak, and Victor Osimhen.

Despite a failed transfer last summer, former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has revealed that Osimhen remains interested in joining the Blues. Mikel stated: “We almost finalized the deal for Victor Osimhen last summer. Both the club and player were keen. I know exactly where negotiations stopped. If we revisit it this summer, it should be straightforward to complete. He’s very eager to join.”

Osimhen Showcasing “World-Class” Form at Galatasaray

After the Chelsea move fell through, the Nigerian international joined Galatasaray on loan and has been impressive throughout the season. The 26-year-old is currently in excellent form, scoring six goals in his last three Turkish Süper Lig matches and contributing seven goals in seven Europa League games.

Football journalist Matt Barlow has described Osimhen as “world-class,” suggesting he could be a significant upgrade over the criticized Nicolas Jackson at Chelsea.

With a release clause of £62m in his Napoli contract, Osimhen presents an affordable opportunity for Chelsea to acquire a top-tier striker. The club would be wise to pursue this deal, given the player’s quality and reasonable price tag.
