Chelsea secure £23m deal for star winger in 2025 “bargain” transfer
Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement with Jadon Sancho for a permanent transfer to Stamford Bridge in summer 2025, according to reports. The £100,000-per-week winger is currently on loan from Manchester United and has impressed manager Enzo Maresca since joining.
Sources inside Chelsea view the potential £23 million deal as a “massive bargain” for a player of Sancho’s quality and potential. The transfer is set to be finalized if Chelsea finish above 15th place in the Premier League this season.
Sancho has been in excellent form since arriving at Chelsea, helping the club to an eight-game winning streak across all competitions. He was an unused substitute in Chelsea’s recent 5-1 Europa Conference League victory over Shamrock Rovers, likely being rested for Sunday’s Premier League clash with Everton.
Manager Maresca praised his squad’s professionalism after the midweek win, highlighting the strong performances from young players given an opportunity. With Sancho’s future seemingly secure, Chelsea can now turn their attention to potential January transfer targets as they look to continue their strong run of form in the second half of the season.
