Como Expresses Interest in AC Milan Captain Calabria for 2025 Transfer
Reports from Sportitalia suggest that AC Milan captain Davide Calabria may be headed for the exit door, with Como showing interest in acquiring the defender in 2025.
Speculation about Calabria’s future at Milan has grown following the club’s investment in Emerson Royal from Tottenham Hotspur. Calabria’s current contract with the Rossoneri expires in June 2025, and there appears to be little progress in negotiations for an extension.
Milan Not Prioritizing Calabria Retention
According to transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, Como has reached out to Calabria to gauge his interest in remaining in the Lombardy region for his next career move. A transfer could potentially occur in January for a minimal fee, or at the season’s end as a free agent.
The 28-year-old right-back, who recently celebrated his birthday, has spent his entire career with Milan after coming through the club’s youth academy. However, Calabria has found playing time limited this season, making only nine appearances across all competitions.
While there were links to Galatasaray, it seems Calabria would prefer to stay in Italy. The potential move to Como could offer him that opportunity while allowing Milan to move in a new direction.
