Conte: Napoli must make the right moves or I’ll go to battle with current squad

Following Napoli’s thrilling 3-2 victory against Atalanta, manager Antonio Conte reflected on the team’s progress and addressed concerns about potential transfers. The win marked Napoli’s first triumph against a fellow title contender this season, showcasing significant improvement since their 3-0 home defeat to Atalanta in November 2024.

Conte emphasized the team’s growth, particularly in handling adversity. “We’ve faced numerous challenges, including injuries and recent transfer market developments, that would overwhelm many teams. Yet, we persist without complaint, continuing our hard work,” he stated.

The coach highlighted the collective improvement resulting from individual player development. However, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s €70 million transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, attention has turned to potential replacements.

Regarding transfer strategy, Conte was clear: “If we’re going to make moves, they need to be the right ones. Otherwise, we’ll continue with our current squad. I’ve already pointed out that our top players from the Scudetto-winning team two years ago have departed.”

Conte concluded with a resolute message: “If the club decides to make changes, they will. If not, I’m prepared to go into battle with these players, knowing they won’t let me down. We may be few, but we’re the right ones, and we’re hungry for success.”
