Copa del Rey Round of 16 Participants Revealed

The Copa del Rey 2024/25 Round of 16 is taking shape as all third round matches have concluded. Sixteen teams have secured their spots in the next stage of Spain’s knockout tournament. Let’s take a look at the qualified clubs:

From La Liga: Athletic Club, Atlético Madrid, Celta Vigo, Getafe, FC Barcelona, Leganés, Osasuna, Rayo Vallecano, Real Sociedad, Real Betis, Real Madrid, and Valencia.

From Segunda División: Almería and Elche.

From Primera RFEF: Ourense.

From Segunda RFEF: Pontevedra.

The Round of 16 matches are scheduled for January 14-16, 2025. The draw will take place on January 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM in Las Rozas Football City.

The draw format ensures that the four non-La Liga teams (Elche, Almería, Pontevedra, and Ourense) will face La Liga opponents, with matches held at the lower-division team’s stadium. The remaining fixtures will pit La Liga teams against each other, with the first team drawn hosting the match.
