Crystal Palace Aim for FA Cup Success Amid Summer Preparations
Oliver Glasner’s team is focused on their FA Cup campaign as they face Fulham in the quarter-finals, with a potential Wembley appearance on the horizon.
Sporting director Dougie Freedman is also actively preparing for the next season, considering potential new signings.
One player recently linked with Crystal Palace is Bright Osayi-Samuel from Fenerbahce. Palace reportedly offered him a contract to return to England as a free agent in the summer.
Defender Konstantinos Koulierakis of Wolfsburg is another player on Palace’s radar. Several player departures from Crystal Palace are also expected during the summer transfer window.

Crystal Palace Youngster Rejects New Contract and Seeks Departure
According to Africa Foot, reported by Sport Witness, Crystal Palace youth player Franco Umeh-Chibueze has turned down a contract renewal offer from the club. His current contract is set to expire this summer.
It is suggested that the player’s decision is influenced by manager Glasner’s lack of first-team opportunities for him. FC Twente and Sporting CP are reportedly interested in signing the young attacker.
Umeh-Chibueze, aged 20, joined Palace from Cork City in 2023. Since then, he has played over 30 games for Crystal Palace’s U21 team, scoring 12 goals.

He’s a wanted man…
He has also been on the bench for Premier League and EFL Cup matches but is yet to make his senior debut.
Academy director Gary Issott praised Umeh-Chibueze upon his arrival, highlighting his “blistering pace” as a key attribute. Issott stated that Umeh-Chibueze is an exciting attacking player with pace and a strong left foot, who would add competition to the attacking options.
It now appears that this attacker, once likened to a potential next Michael Olise, will seek to further his career away from Crystal Palace. It remains to be seen where he will move to in the upcoming season.
