Sources confirm that De Bruyne is expected in Naples on Thursday for his final medical checks before officially joining Napoli. While there`s a possibility of a slight delay, the process is still anticipated to be completed by week`s end.
The necessary contracts have already been signed, with only the final formalities remaining. Napoli has been confident about securing De Bruyne`s services since early May.
The Belgian international, who recently scored a crucial goal in Belgium`s 4-3 victory over Wales in a World Cup qualifier, is expected to sign an initial two-year contract with an option for an additional year.
De Bruyne will join Antonio Conte`s Scudetto-winning side on a free transfer after his contract with Manchester City expires. During his decade-long stint at City, he won six Premier League titles and the club`s first Champions League trophy.
