Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, has commented on the speculation surrounding a possible return of Santos forward Neymar to the Catalan club.
When asked if Neymar would be back at Barcelona if the economic situation improved, Deco responded, “I don’t think it’s just about economics… I admire Neymar. We don’t have concrete plans for the upcoming season, there are many factors involved,” as quoted by Barca Times.
Deco added that while Neymar is a great player, building a team requires perfect planning.
Neymar played for the Blaugrana from 2013 to 2017, during which time he played 186 matches in all competitions, scoring 105 goals and providing 76 assists.
