Dele Alli is on the verge of making his home debut for Como, as he is expected to be on the bench for the upcoming home match against Venezia this Saturday. Despite this call-up, coach Cesc Fabregas has indicated that Alli is not yet fully prepared to play.
This game at Stadio Sinigaglia against Eusebio Di Francesco’s Venezia marks the first time Alli has been included in the squad for a home fixture since his arrival at the Serie A club in January.

Last week’s away game against Roma marked Alli’s first inclusion in a competitive matchday squad in 735 days. Como fans will need to be patient to see Alli on the pitch, as Fabregas explained that the player’s fitness is still progressing.
Fabregas Highlights Dele Alli’s ‘Significant Progress’
“This is a step forward for him,” Fabregas told reporters during a pre-match press conference. “He traveled with us to Rome. While he isn’t ready to play yet, he will be on the bench again tomorrow. We will evaluate the right time to introduce him into the game.”

Fabregas added, “He is developing and making considerable progress. Our role is to support him, ensure his well-being, and prepare him to play when he is in optimal condition.”
This season, Como has been strong at home, securing five of their seven Serie A victories at their stadium, Stadio Sinigaglia. Notably, their last home game saw them defeat Napoli, who are competing for the Scudetto, with a score of 2-1.
