Gianluigi Donnarumma remains optimistic about Serie A`s development, even as an increasing number of young Italian players opt for Premier League careers.
When questioned about the trend of Italian talents leaving for foreign leagues, particularly the Premier League, Donnarumma refused to criticize Serie A. Recent transfers include Donnarumma himself, Giovanni Leoni, and Diego Coppola, who all moved to English clubs during the summer transfer window.
Donnarumma: `Serie A is on the rise`
“I follow Serie A closely, and it`s a strong league that has shown significant improvement,” Donnarumma stated. “Each player makes their own choices, but I believe it`s nonsense to say there`s no talent. I hear a lot of misinformation, but I can assure you the talent is present. The young players are skilled, and the national team has great potential for growth. With time and increased confidence, we`ll all become more self-assured, and I`m certain that Italy as a whole will make great strides and achieve significant success.”
Donnarumma`s comments reflect his faith in the quality of Italian football, despite the allure of the Premier League for many young players. He emphasizes the presence of talent within Italy and expresses optimism for the future of both Serie A and the national team.
