Donnarumma’s Agent Confirms PSG Commitment Amid Contract Talks
Following his heroic performance in Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League victory over Liverpool, Gianluigi Donnarumma’s future at the club has become a topic of discussion. Despite occasional criticism of his performances, particularly in European competitions, the Italian goalkeeper’s agent has made it clear that Donnarumma’s priority is to remain with PSG.
Enzo Raiola, Donnarumma’s representative, addressed the ongoing rumors linking the goalkeeper with a potential move away from the Parc des Princes. He stated that once a new contract is signed, such speculation would naturally cease. Raiola confirmed that negotiations to extend Donnarumma’s current deal, which runs until 2026, are in progress.
The agent emphasized that there is no conflict between Donnarumma and the club, saying, “We are taking the necessary time to ensure the best outcome for the player. PSG is the only club where Donnarumma wishes to continue his career. While the final details are yet to be settled, extending his stay at PSG remains the top priority.”
This statement comes amidst rumors of PSG’s interest in other goalkeepers, including Lucas Chevalier, who has been touted as a potential successor to Donnarumma. However, Raiola’s comments suggest that the 26-year-old Italian international is committed to his future with the Parisian club, despite the occasional criticism he has faced for some of his performances.
