Dybala Reveals Past Interest from PSG
Roma’s star forward Paulo Dybala has shared that he came close to joining Paris Saint-Germain in the past and expressed his ongoing desire to clinch a Champions League title. The Argentine international made these revelations during a recent Twitch interview.
“Winning the Champions League remains a dream of mine, whether with Roma or another club,” Dybala stated. The talented striker previously reached the Champions League final in 2017 with Juventus, but his team fell short against Real Madrid in Cardiff.
Dybala, who joined Roma on a free transfer from Juventus in 2022, disclosed that he had nearly completed moves to two different clubs previously, with PSG being one of them. “I was on the verge of finalizing transfers twice, including one to PSG,” he revealed.
Currently, Dybala’s contract with Roma is set to expire in June, but it will automatically extend for another year once he makes three more appearances of at least 45 minutes each. Recent reports from Italy suggest that Dybala’s representatives are planning to meet with Roma officials to discuss a potential contract extension after the January transfer window closes.
The 31-year-old striker has been a key player for Roma, scoring 39 goals in 99 appearances for the club. He is expected to reach his 100th game milestone in Roma’s upcoming match against Genoa at the Stadio Olimpico.
