Eintracht Frankfurt Considers Rennes Striker as Potential Replacement for Manchester City Target
According to recent reports, Eintracht Frankfurt is exploring the possibility of signing Rennes forward Arnaud Kalimuendo as a potential replacement for Omar Marmoush, who is rumored to be a target for Manchester City. The Bundesliga club is said to be impressed with the development of the 23-year-old French striker, although he is not currently their top priority for the position.
Rumors suggest that Manchester City is nearing an agreement with Frankfurt for Marmoush, with a reported fee of around €80 million. The Premier League champions are believed to have already held discussions with the talented Bundesliga player.
Kalimuendo has been performing well for Rennes this season, scoring seven goals in 15 appearances. The young striker, who came through the Paris Saint-Germain youth academy, has impressed new Rennes manager Jorge Sampaoli. Recently, Kalimuendo reached a milestone of 30 goals for Rennes after scoring against OGC Nice. Prior to his time at Rennes, he had a successful loan spell at Racing Club de Lens.
While Frankfurt’s interest in Kalimuendo is notable, it remains to be seen whether they will pursue the transfer, especially given that Marmoush’s potential move to Manchester City is not yet finalized.
