Union Berlin secured an away victory against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga matchday 25, with a score of 2-1.
Michy Batshuayi, playing for the home team, opened the scoring in the 13th minute. However, Union Berlin responded in the second half with goals from Leopold Querfeld and Jong Uh-yeong. A goal by Union’s Benedict Hollerbach in the 87th minute was disallowed due to a handball.
In added time, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike missed a penalty kick, failing to equalize.
This win ends Union Berlin’s three-game losing streak and lifts them to 13th place in the Bundesliga standings with 26 points. Eintracht Frankfurt remains in fourth place with 42 points.
