Recent reports regarding Eljif Elmas` return to Napoli have been confirmed. The North Macedonian midfielder is scheduled to fly to Italy tomorrow for medical examinations.
The agreement includes a loan arrangement with a €2 million fee and an option for Napoli to make the transfer permanent for approximately €16 million.
Elmas` Serie A Comeback with Napoli
Earlier in the transfer window, there were speculations about Elmas potentially joining Torino, where he spent the latter half of the previous season on loan. However, Napoli has decided to offer the 25-year-old another opportunity under the guidance of head coach Antonio Conte.
Elmas departed from Naples in January 2024 for a reported sum of €23 million. During his time with Bundesliga club RB Leipzig, the midfielder made only 22 appearances across all competitions over two seasons. Now, he appears set to make his return to Serie A.
This move marks a significant step in Elmas` career, as he seeks to reestablish himself in Italian football with Napoli.
