Elon Musk Expresses Interest in Acquiring Liverpool Football Club
Elon Musk, one of the world’s wealthiest individuals, has reportedly set his sights on acquiring Liverpool Football Club. This information was revealed by Musk’s father during an interview with Times Radio, suggesting that the tech magnate is interested in becoming the majority shareholder of the renowned ‘Reds’.
When questioned about his son’s potential interest in purchasing Liverpool, Errol Musk responded affirmatively, stating, “He would like to, yes. Obviously.” However, when pressed for more details about the hypothetical acquisition, the elder Musk was more cautious, remarking, “I can’t comment on that. It would drive up the price (referring to the current ownership).”
Elon Musk, known for his ownership of companies such as X (formerly Twitter), Tesla, and SpaceX, is undoubtedly one of the most financially powerful figures in the world. This fact, combined with his ancestral connection to Liverpool – his grandmother, Cora Amelia Robinson, was born in the city – has fueled speculation about his interest in the club.
The potential acquisition has sparked considerable interest and debate among football fans and industry observers. Liverpool FC is currently owned by Fenway Sports Group (FSG), an American sports investment company. It remains to be seen whether Musk will pursue this interest and make a formal bid for the club, which would undoubtedly be a significant development in the world of football ownership.
